AutoCAD Drafter needed:
* CAD Proficiency : A strong working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit, is essential. Employers often test a candidate's ability to create and modify drawings during the interview process.
* Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of technical drawing principles, including blueprint reading, geometric concepts, and industry-specific standards (e.g., architectural, mechanical, or civil).
* Attention to Detail: This is crucial as drafters must create precise and accurate drawings with correct dimensions and specifications.
* Mathematical Aptitude: Basic math skills, including algebra and geometry, are needed for calculating dimensions, angles, and other measurements.
* Communication Skills: Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members, so they need to be able to collaborate effectively and interpret feedback.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Creating and Modifying Drawings: Using CAD software to develop 2D and 3D drawings based on sketches, specifications, and instructions from senior staff.
*Updating existing drawings and plans based on changes or "redline" markups from engineers.
*Organizing and maintaining digital files, ensuring version control, and preparing documents for printing or plotting.
*Performing checks on drawings to ensure they are accurate and adhere to project and company standards.
