Job Description

Our Beaumont office is seeking a professional and motivated Case Manager to oversee daily operations and support our delinquent tax collections program. While this role does not involve direct staff supervision, it requires strong leadership in managing collection program activities and ensuring compliance with established procedures. Key duties include reviewing the delinquent tax roll, coordinating mailings, ordering titles, monitoring collection workflows, and working directly with taxpayers to establish and manage payment agreements. The Case Manager will also collaborate with legal counsel to help achieve departmental goals. This position serves as a primary liaison to the Tax Assessor-Collector, as well as staff in the Tax Office, Sheriff’s Department, and District Clerk’s Office, providing consistent communication and client support. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Position Details:

  • Type of Position: Full Time/Temp-to-Hire
  • FLSA Status: Non- Exempt
  • Salary: $36,400 – $39,520 annually / $17.50 – $19.00 hourly, depending on experience
  • Scheduled Shift : Mon-Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (In-person)
  • Location : Beaumont, TX 77701-3614

Important Information:

  • This position requires 25% driving.
  • A valid driver’s license is required .
  • An MVR background check is required . The candidate must have a clean driving record.
  • If your agency provides car insurance coverage during the contracting phase, they will perform all aspects of this position as early as their first day of employment.
  • If your agency does not offer car insurance coverage, the employee will not be required to drive during the contracting phase. However, he or she will be required to drive once converted to a regular employee of the firm.

The ideal candidate must possess the qualities below :

  • 1–3 years of clerical experience (required)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with taxpayers, staff, and public officials
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle sensitive or challenging situations with professionalism and diplomacy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Must be flexible and adaptable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a government, legal, or tax office environment
  • Managerial or supervisory experience
  • Experience with databases, records management software, or collections systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
