Job Description

We're looking for a Character Artist to help shape the look of ExpressLane , a first-person extraction shooter with stylized visuals and a strong creative identity.

This is an unpaid internship. It's a good fit for students, recent grads, or anyone looking to build their portfolio while contributing to a serious, playable project. We prefer candidates in the Dearborn or Detroit area but are open to remote applicants.

Responsibilities:

• Create stylized humanoid characters and outfits
• Work with the team to match the game's art style
• Help implement characters in Unreal Engine 5

Requirements:

• Portfolio showing 3D character work
• Experience with Blender, Maya, or ZBrush
• Some understanding of Unreal Engine character workflows is a plus

ExpressLane is already building traction, with thousands of wishlists and strong community interest. We plan to grow the team and bring on full-time hires as funding comes in. This internship could lead to a paid role in the near future.
