Part-time, 30 hrs./week, remote position



ParentMap is the Pacific Northwest’s leading media company for parents and caregivers, providing highly relevant, well-researched and entertaining content to families through various integrated publishing channels, including our award-winning news magazine, website, annual lecture series and community events.

ParentMap’s content team is seeking a highly organized Content Production Coordinator to support our digital content and eNewsletter production. This part-time, work-from-home position is ideal for someone with experience in the digital publishing world, including content management systems, eNewletter platforms and website management. You should also bring an eye for detail, a strong grasp of editorial standards and a passion for the local parenting community to the position.

Reports to: Managing Editor

FLSA status : Not Exempt 

Job status: Part-time, 30 hours per week 

Key responsibilities:

• Draft website articles for the content team in our CMS (Drupal)
• Update and optimize archive content to ensure accurate information including: fact and link checks, deleting outdated information, sourcing new ideas, cleaning up code, replacing and resizing photos as needed, and optimizing metadata for search
• Draft, test and schedule 3–4 email campaigns per week using our email service provider (EMMA)
• Perform quality assurance checks for web and email content, including proofing, link checks and rendering tests across devices
• Maintain ParentMap’s website content in collaboration with the content and marketing teams, including maintaining archive pages for eNews and PM Magazine
• Maintain ParentMap’s eNews and magazine archives for reference
• Coordinate with content team to ensure timely delivery of drafted and updated articles
• Meet deadlines and update content and marketing performance reports, as needed
• Proofread digital content and newsletters for grammar, tone and clarity, as needed

Experience and background:

• Recent experience in digital media and/or publishing
• Demonstrated experience working in a CMS
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, EMMA)
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate clearly
• Strong writing and proofreading skills
• A passion for parenting-related content and topics
• Basic HTML and image editing skills, preferred 
• Knowledge of SEO best practices, preferred
