City Neighbors Foundation operates three grass-roots, progressive, arts-integrated, project-based public charter schools in Baltimore, Maryland - City Neighbors Charter School (K-8), City Neighbors Hamilton (K-8) and City Neighbors High School - serving approximately 900 students. The foundation also works to impact public education, advocating for child-centered, progressive, equitable, and democratic ideals. They organize events, professional development sessions, consultation practices, and educational partnerships to further their goals.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Elementary School Teacher (2nd Grade) located in Baltimore, MD. The Elementary School Teacher will be responsible for curriculum development, teaching elementary education, effective communication with students and parents, and contributing to the overall educational environment. The teacher will create engaging and innovative lesson plans, assess students' progress, and collaborate with colleagues to provide a comprehensive educational experience.

• Curriculum Development and Teaching skills
• Experience in elementary education
• Strong communication skills
• Passion for education and child-centered learning
• Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments
• Knowledge of educational best practices and strategies
• Collaboration and teamwork skills
• State teaching certification or eligibility
• Experience with arts integration or project-based learning is a plus
