About the Role

A leading climate technology company is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join its growing operations team. This company specializes in carbon utilization technologies and has active partnerships across commercial and government sectors. The position is based in Brooklyn, NY and will report directly to the Director of Operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead development and implementation of safety programs to ensure a compliant, healthy work environment under federal, state, and local regulations
• Conduct internal and external safety training, driving a strong culture of proactive safety practices
• Support contractors and internal teams by identifying hazards, planning risk mitigation strategies, and coaching on best practices
• Maintain EHS documentation and lead incident investigations and reporting
• Serve as liaison for insurance-related matters and lead site safety inspections and audits
• Champion emergency preparedness protocols and ensure appropriate safety equipment is in place
• Support vendor selection processes from a safety standpoint

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety, or a relevant science/engineering field
• 5+ years of EHS experience in heavy industry (e.g., petrochemical, energy, manufacturing)
• In-depth understanding of OSHA and other EH&S compliance standards
• Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Passion for innovation, sustainability, and working in fast-paced environments

Compensation

• Base salary range : $120,000 – $145,000, based on experience
