Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on hazardous waste management, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship. This individual will play a key role in managing incoming and generated hazardous waste, ensuring proper recycling and disposal, and maintaining facility licensures.

Ideal candidates are strong communicators, highly organized, and able to work hands-on within a fast-moving industrial environment. This position reports to the Environmental Manager and works closely with a small on-site team.

What You’ll Do

• Manage incoming and on-site generated hazardous waste streams
• Ensure proper recycling, disposal, and environmental best practices
• Maintain facility environmental and waste management licensures
• Monitor compliance with state and federal environmental regulations
• Support internal and external audits; lead corrective actions as needed
• Coordinate with third-party partners and regulatory agencies
• Organize and manage environmental records, permits, and documentation
• Support compliance initiatives and continuous improvement activities
• Partner closely with operations and site leadership

Requirements:

Must have experience with hazardous waste/chemicals
