Position Summary

The mission of the Environmental Scientist is to perform a variety of environmental services, provide environmental assessments, reports, and evaluations for environmental projects.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • BS degree in environmental science with 0-2 years of experience.
• 3 months of relevant environmental internship, work, or research experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Seeing, hearing, talking, standing, stooping, bending, walking, reading, and writing.
• Reaching with hands and arms.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more.
• Ability to work extended hours at times.

Environment:

• Predominantly office environment: some overnight travel is required.
• The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate.
• Frequently works in outside weather conditions, possibly for extended assignments.
• The noise level on the construction site is often loud.
