This startup delivers AI-powered bookkeeping and financial modeling for fast-growing companies. As the Founding Full-Stack Engineer, you'll play a key role in building AI-native software and setting the technical and cultural foundations of the company.

Role Overview

The Founding Full-Stack Engineer will lead the development of AI-driven finance and accounting software solutions. You'll work closely with the founders, take ownership of the technical infrastructure, and shape the product roadmap while ensuring security and compliance. This is an ideal role for entrepreneurial engineers passionate about creating AI-powered solutions in the finance space.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop AI-driven software for finance and accounting workflows.
• Collaborate with founders on vision, strategy, and product roadmap.
• Manage technical infrastructure (databases, servers, APIs) with a focus on security and compliance.
• Lead and mentor a growing team of engineers and data scientists.
• Stay up-to-date with AI and finance advancements to keep improving the product.

Tech Stack

• Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript, Next.js, React.
• Tools: Temporal, Postgres.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building web applications with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., Express.js, Next.js).
• Proven full-stack development experience, particularly in building applications from scratch.
• Ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in AI, finance, or accounting.
• Familiarity with startups like Ramp, Brex, Numeric, Puzzle, or Pilot.com.
• Strong motivation to work in a startup.
