Job Description

Overview

Our client seeks an experienced and passionate Chef to oversee our vineyard farm-to-table restaurant and cater weddings and special events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to providing an extraordinary dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development: Create seasonal menus that highlight local ingredients and reflect the restaurant's farm-to-table philosophy. Regularly update the menu to incorporate customer feedback and seasonal changes.
  • Event Catering: Plan and execute catering for weddings and special events, ensuring high-quality food and service that meets the expectations of our clients.
  • Staff Management: Oversee, train, and mentor kitchen staff and waitstaff to maintain high standards of food preparation and service. Schedule shifts and manage team performance. - Brunch and Dinner Services: Manage the Sunday brunch service and the seated steak dinner from Thursday to Saturday, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experiences. - Inventory and Ordering: Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with vineyard management to create unique pairings and special events that enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a farm-to-table or fine dining restaurant setting. - Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen management practices. - Excellent leadership and communication skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. - A passion for local and seasonal ingredients.

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
