Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Bilingual HR Coordinator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This temp-to-hire role is ideal for a detail-oriented and people-focused professional looking to grow within HR. The HR Coordinator will assist with recruitment, employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and administrative HR tasks to support our workforce.

This is a fully onsite position. Candidates must be available to work in person at our facility in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support new hire onboarding, ensuring all paperwork and training requirements are met.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist with payroll processing, attendance tracking, and benefits administration.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to address HR-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Help coordinate safety training, workplace policies, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Translate HR documents and communications as needed (English/Spanish or relevant second language).
  • Support HR projects, reporting, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (or another relevant language) required.
  • 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and payroll systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
