Position : Human Resources Generalist

Reports to: Senior Director – Human Resources

Location: 7461 Coca Cola Drive Hanover, MD 21076

Job Responsibilities:

• Provides HR operational support for all Rhee Bros employees

• Maintains thorough knowledge of Company policies and procedures and ensures they are applied consistently

• Assists employees and managers with understanding and complying with all policies and procedures

• Creates and maintains employee personnel files in accordance with Company and legal requirements, and performs annual audits

• Ensures compliance with Form I-9 for new hires/rehires, reverifications, expiring documentations, and terminations

• Oversees all payroll transactions to include: payroll preparation, processing, and distribution on a bi-weekly basis; Serves as the point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries

• Manages payroll discrepancies and ensures compliance with payroll and tax laws

• Ensures accuracy of timekeeping records by reviewing timesheets, inputting hours, verifying PTO, sick, and other time off taken records

• Audits payroll transactions to ensure all amounts and payment dates are accurate

• Calculates and reconciles union dues

• Possesses working knowledge of the CBA, specifics on Attendance, Rate Structure, Overtime, and Leave policies

• Participates in the coordination and accurate administration of FMLA, LOA, STD, and Workers’ Compensation

• Assists in 401(k) administration and audit

• Assists with planning and executing employee engagement events

• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance

• Maintains confidentiality of financial and employee information (e.g., wage information, discipline, health information) and other sensitive and confidential information

• Manages assigned projects and programs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education, training, and experience

• Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems – UKG a plus

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong MS Excel Skills

• Team player with a demonstrated ability to initiate and maintain effective professional relationships

• High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities

• Union experience a plus
