Job Description

An International Automotive Parts Manufacture is searching for a Japanese / English Bilingual Interpreter / Translator near Dayton, OH area. This is a full-time, direct hire position that offers a competitive salary and outstanding benefits package including health, dental and vision.

Japanese / English Bilingual Interpreter / Translator Responsibilities:

• Written and oral translation between English and Japanese, translation of documents and emails, bilingual support of Japanese-speaking employees, etc.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments for associates and managers
• Assistance with executive meetings between upper management, clients, etc.
• Handle general administrative tasks, respond to customers inquiries when needed, and update data in company system(s)
• Cross-department communication and reporting
• Adherence to company compliance policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Japanese / English Bilingual Interpreter / Translator Requirements:

• Minimum business-level Japanese language ability (JLPT N2 equivalent) is required
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred, OR equivalent work experience
• Strong experience in Japanese / English interpretation and translation
• Good computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments and colleagues
• Strong organizational and time management ability
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
