Lifeguard (Seasonal)

Compensation: $21.50/hour

Location: Greater Philadelphia Region

Reports to: Operations Associate

Season Dates: June 23 – August 23, 2025

Dive & Thrive is an aquatics education company committed to delivering high-quality swim instruction, lifeguard training, and water safety programs throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. We focus on building confident swimmers and safer communities through inclusive, professional, and engaging aquatic experiences.

Dive & Thrive is hiring certified Lifeguards for the 2025 summer season. As a Lifeguard, you will ensure a safe aquatic environment for all program participants, instructors, and guests. You will be responsible for maintaining constant surveillance, preventing incidents, and responding quickly in case of emergencies. This is a seasonal role reporting directly to the Operations Associate .

• Monitor pool areas to ensure the safety and well-being of all swimmers
• Enforce all safety rules and facility guidelines consistently and professionally
• Respond to emergency situations with confidence and care, including performing rescues and administering first aid or CPR when necessary
• Conduct daily equipment and safety checks; maintain a clean and organized pool area
• Support swim instructors and program staff during lesson transitions and site operations
• Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required
  

• Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized agency (e.g., American Red Cross)
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
• Strong observational and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Reliable transportation to assigned sites across the Greater Philadelphia region
• Must be available for the full summer season (June 23–August 23, 2025)
