Job Description

Sequor Law is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal to work in our office located on Brickell Avenue. This is a hybrid optional position working 3 days in the office / 2 days remote (once training is complete). The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable maintaining documents and files (discovery materials), working with databases / software and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed. 

Responsibilities

· Assist with case management

· Organize and electronically file pleadings

· Review pleadings to track status of cases to determine & calendar deadlines

· Assist attorneys in preparing correspondence, subpoenas, pre-trial preparation, trial assistance and more as needed

· Assist with all aspect of discovery including but not limited to outgoing discovery and document productions, privilege logs, intake and processing discovery received from counter-parties.

· Assistance at evidentiary and non-evidentiary hearings, trials and arbitral hearings

Qualifications

· Bi-lingual (English/Spanish); Portuguese a plus

· Excellent organizational skills; experience organizing and maintaining documents and files (discovery materials, deposition notices, deposition exhibits and documents, etc.)

· Strong computer skills with experience working with database and litigation software

· Experience with E-filing in State and Federal courts

· Knowledge of Federal and Florida Court Civil Procedure Rules

· Experience with pulling cases from Westlaw

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Paralegal Certification, undergraduate degree in Paralegal Studies and/or Bachelor's degree in related area

· 2+ years' as Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal

· Salary commensurate with experience; Overtime (pd. time and one half) as needed
