Summary

LesserEvil is an innovative, healthy-snacks brand looking to add a full-time Maintenance Manager to our mid-size food manufacturing company. In this position, you will manage the growing maintenance department for our 24-hour facility. A successful candidate for this role is someone with experience leading and developing a team.

The schedule for this position is generally 7:30 AM-4 PM, but with the nature of a 24-hour facility, there are times when earlier/later hours are necessary. This individual will report to the General Manager of Operations and Production.

Role/Responsibilities

• Planning and overseeing the work for the maintenance department across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts to ensure safe and efficient operations of the facility
• Assigning daily tasks to address immediate maintenance and preventative maintenance needs
• Developing and implementing a preventative maintenance program and emergency repair program
• Oversight of the department budget
• Lost time reporting with a focus on decreasing downtime due to equipment failure
• Responsible for oversight of ordering parts and maintaining a tight inventory of all spare parts
• Identifying continuous improvement opportunities for the department
• Implementing an equipment training program for maintenance and required staff

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience managing a maintenance department in a food manufacturing facility
• Knowledge of food safety requirements in a food manufacturing facility as it relates to maintenance activities is preferred
• Good acumen in troubleshooting and emergency repair
• Experience working with maintenance management software a plus
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Gmail

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be willing to work in Danbury, CT
• Must have a reliable vehicle as daily trips between factory, warehouse, and office may be necessary
