Job title: Medical Lab Tech
Location: Birmingham AL
Shift/Work Schedule : 0500-1330, M-F with every other weekend for a total of 40 hours per week. Position is for hematology, coag, and urines.
Hospital experience preference.

Hematology, Coag, Urines, Running a dept. Daily QC, Weekly/Monthly Main.
1 – Is this for and Medical Lab Technician [2 year MLT degree ] or Medical Lab Scientist /
Medical Technologist [4 year BS] or are you open to either? MLT
2- Please confirm if ASCP or AMT certification is required. [If required, are you open to eligible
/registered candidates?] not required but preferred
3- Are you seeking a generalist [proficient in testing in all Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis,
Coagulation] or are you seeking a Micro Lab worker with Molecular background?
Hemotology, coag and urines. Would take a generalist who has worked in those areas.
4- What department will this technical position support? [Micro lab, Core lab, DNA sequence,
etc.] Core Lab
5- Is Blood Bank experience required for this role? No
6- Any particular LIS [Lab Information System] experience you would like to see on resumes?

BS degree or associate in MLT.
