Valley Children’s Healthcare is seeking a Patient Safety & Clinical Risk Specialist to play a key role in advancing our mission of delivering the highest quality care to the children and families we serve. This position is integral to the development, implementation, and evaluation of our patient safety and risk management programs across the organization.

Responsibilities:

In this impactful role, you will:

  • Support and enhance our comprehensive patient safety and risk management program
  • Partner in performance improvement initiatives across departments
  • Proactively identify and analyze opportunities for risk mitigation and safety improvements
  • Collaborate with medical, administrative, and clinical teams to translate data into actionable strategies
  • Investigate areas of concern identified by leadership and recommend process enhancements
  • Contribute to quality of care assessments, patient experience initiatives, and compliance with healthcare regulations

Requirements:

You’re a clinical professional passionate about quality care and patient safety, with:

  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience
  • At least 4 years of direct experience or in-depth knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards, including TJC, Title 22, and others
  • A graduate of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Current California RN license
  • CBPPS certification is a plus
