Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) – Lead a High-Growth Compounding Pharmacy

Mobile, AL • $180,000–$220,000 Salary (Based on Experience) • Full-Time, Onsite Leadership Role

A rapidly expanding 503A compounding pharmacy in the Mobile, Alabama area is seeking an accomplished Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead operations, elevate quality standards, and drive growth across a high-volume non-sterile and hazardous compounding environment. What You Will Lead

• Oversee all daily pharmacy operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and production goals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop pharmacists and technicians to maintain a high-performing team.
• Direct non-sterile and hazardous compounding operations, including engineering controls, equipment, and documentation standards.
• Ensure full compliance with USP <795> , USP <800> , Alabama regulations, and accrediting bodies.
• Strengthen quality assurance programs, environmental monitoring, and maintenance schedules.
• Identify and implement operational improvements in workflow, technology, and compounding processes.
• Lead audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews to maintain licensure and compliance.
• Build training programs and oversee performance management for all pharmacy personnel.

• Assess and refine workflow across non-sterile and hazardous compounding.
• Strengthen team alignment, communication, and role clarity.
• Ensure documentation, environmental controls, and QA programs meet regulatory standards.
• Establish a forward-looking plan for growth, compliance, and operational enhancements.

What You Bring

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
• Active Alabama pharmacist license (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Proven expertise in non-sterile and hazardous compounding
• Strong working knowledge of USP <795> and USP <800>
• Leadership experience in a high-volume compounding environment
• Ability to manage teams, systems, and compliance with precision
• Commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
