A Professional Survey Project Manager oversees a team comprised of Survey Party Chiefs, Survey Field Crews and Technicians. This person must work within Pickering’s corporate philosophy of performing quality work for our clients, treating employees as our prime asset and being active, responsible members of the community.
Applicant must be a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in either MS, TN or AR license or the ability to acquire a plus.
Responsibilities
Has overall responsibility for client contact, contract negotiations, staffing, department policies, research, computation, field work, and drafting. Stamps and signs surveys done under his or her direct supervision. Survey manager provides specialized technical expertise for land surveying, mapping and positioning; geospatial/coordinate data management, quality control, and data collection.
· Create, coordinate and oversee ALTA, Boundary, Platting, As-Built & Topographic Surveys using knowledge of statutes and regulations of applicable State and County Laws.
· Oversee and review all workflow processes with field crew and CAD drafting for project quality and ensure compliance with committed deadlines.
· Negotiate project scoping and budgets with minimal supervision.
· Proposal preparation and project invoicing
· Accounts receivable report review and follow-up
· Site visits as needed to ensure proper and timely completion of project.
· Collaborate with other technical teams to establish goals, schedules and budgets.
· Hearing & client meeting attendance
· Ensure professional development of team members
· Conduct end of year performance reviews
Qualifications
· Registered Professional Land Survey certified
· 8+ years of survey experience
· Supervisory experience preferred (1 to 3 years)
· Knowledgeable in all areas of surveying
· Proficient in AutoCAD
· Drone and LIDAR experience a plus
· Possess strong leadership qualities and project management skills
· Good communicator
· Valid driver's license
· Drug screening compliance
