Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Review subcontractor compliance (insurance certs, lien waivers, contract execution, DIR registration, etc.) prior to processing invoices
• Enter and track subcontractor/vendor invoices in ERP

Accounts Receivable:

• Reconstruct and enter owner invoices (created outside the ERP) into the accounting system
• Certified Payroll & Labor Compliance:
• Calculate weekly hours from jobsite reports/timecards
• Prepare and process certified payroll reports and checks
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and union requirements

Audit & Documentation:

• Maintain records for labor compliance, subcontractor documents, and payment history
• Respond to audits and document requests from agencies or clients

General Accounting Support:

• Collaborate with project managers and field staff to reconcile financials
• Help maintain project budgets and cost codes

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years accounting experience in construction or a related industry
• Strong understanding of AIA billing, certified payroll (e.g., LCPtracker, DIR, or similar systems)
• Familiarity with California prevailing wage and union labor rules
• Proficiency with Excel and construction ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Foundation, QuickBooks for Contractors)
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with public works or government-funded construction projects
• Prior audit or labor compliance experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
