Psychologist – WeCARE Program

At UBA, we are committed to helping individuals overcome medical, mental health, and social barriers to employment so they can achieve greater independence and self-sufficiency. As part of the Wellness, Comprehensive Assessment, Rehabilitation, and Employment (WeCARE) program, our Psychologist plays a vital role in supporting clients on their journey toward improved health and meaningful employment.

The WeCARE Psychologist works closely with the Medical Director to implement standard operating policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with New York City HRA contractual requirements.

In this role, you will conduct Psychological Assessments for clients when:

• They disagree with their Functional Capacity Outcome determination, or
• Their Functional Capacity Outcome cannot be determined following a Clinical Assessment and potential mental health barriers to employment are identified.

You will also serve as a clinical resource for UBA WeCARE staff, providing guidance to ensure program goals and contractual obligations are successfully met.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Psychology from an accredited program
• Licensed Psychologist in New York State with active registration
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with knowledge of medical and/or behavioral health diagnoses
• Ability to motivate and support clients in attending assessments and reassessments, and in accessing services to reduce barriers to compliance
• Proficiency in documenting services and outreach using systems such as SEAMS, EPIC, or similar electronic health records
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Salary Range: $100-$135K (100% Grant Funded)

Location: Grand Concourse Bronx, NY
