South Shore Psychological Services, Inc. Hingham, MA Hybrid

Who We Are:  South Shore Psychological Services, Inc. is a small psychology practice focused on providing support to children and families on the South Shore. We are currently expanding our team of therapists who provide in-home and community-based behavioral intervention to young children with autism spectrum disorders ages 18 months to 5 years of age. Our practice provides intervention using the Early Start Denver Model, which is an evidenced-based naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention which blends components of developmental psychology, ABA, PRT and relationship-oriented techniques such as DIR Floortime during play-based behavioral intervention. We are looking for therapists to provide services to families in the Canton, Cohasset, Hingham, Hull, R andolph, Pembroke, Quincy areas. We are currently hiring for South Boston, Cohasset, Hingham, Hull and Scituate locations.

What we are looking for:  We are looking for part-time professionals who have experience or have completed college coursework in psychology, speech pathology, early intervention, special education or applied behavior analysis to provide in-home or community-based behavioral intervention with young children ages 18 months to 5 years of age.

We are looking for people available to work mornings afternoons (1 to 5:30 pm)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 in-home behavioral intervention for one or more clients per day or week
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship and rapport with families, client, staff, other professionals, collaborate with treatment team
  • Learn data collection process, track progress of each session on goal sheets or use electronic graphing and enter into electronic medical record
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings
  • Learn to prepare materials and activities based on clients’ goals and treatment plans
  • Attend meetings with supervisor on a weekly basis; participate in group supervision and team meetings

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent oral and written communication, organization skills, professionalism
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors and community members
  • Follow all organizational policies and procedures; Adhere to all laws regarding privacy and confidentiality, including HIPPA

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience working with young children
  • College level coursework in psychology, special education, child development, applied behavior analysis, or related field
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Willingness to learn new therapeutic skills; A love of teaching and learning new things
  • Must pass a CORI check

Must be up to date with vaccinations including COVID

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years working with children with disabilities providing either ABA therapy or special education services as a teaching assistant, therapist, or teacher
  • A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, communication disorders, special education, behavior analysis, or a related field
  • 2+ years implementing ABA therapy with significant experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) or Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapy OR 2+ years experience using DIRFloortime, SCERTS, RDI
