Registered Nurse (RN) Adolescent Psychiatric Unit | Night Shift | Contract
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week night-shift contract assignment in an Adolescent Psychiatric setting. This role is ideal for an RN who thrives in a behavioral health environment, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and works well within a multidisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect nursing care using the nursing process
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for adolescent psychiatric patients
Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and clinical protocols
Delegate and supervise nursing interventions as appropriate
Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health specialists, and interdisciplinary team members
Respond effectively in high-stress or crisis situations
Required Qualifications:
Active Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license with no disciplinary actions
Graduate of an approved nursing program
Minimum of 1 3 years of nursing experience; experience with children and adolescents preferred
Strong critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Certifications Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Preferred/Additional Training:
Basic Dysrhythmia (preferred or must be obtained prior to completion of orientation)
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training (preferred or must be obtained prior to completion of orientation)
Additional Information:
Candidates with license or background issues will not be considered
Up to 16 hours of orientation may be unpaid
Facility may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week assignment
Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the work location
