Sales Manager, Food and Beverage Ingredients
Location: Remote, USA
Scientific Search client, a global leader in developing, sourcing and supplying pharmaceutical, food, nutritional and animal health ingredients has an immediate need for a Sales Manager, Food & Beverage Ingredients. This is a full-time direct hire position with a dynamic/growing organization. The Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales activities in assigned accounts or regions.
Responsibilities
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
Prepare action plans, strategies and visit schedules to identify/develop specific targets
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
Work in CRM program to input activity, potentials/closings, follow-up, and adherence to plans/goals.
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.
Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services as necessary with logistics and customer service staff.
Work in a team environment with other sales staff sharing information and supporting the overall growth of the company.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of sales or marketing experience.
Ability to develop and deliver presentations; create, compose, and edit sales/marketing materials.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
Work requires significant travel to current and potential clients, valid state driver’s license.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and some weekend, overnight, and international travel.
