Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Grower to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong background in agriculture, with hands-on experience in growing plants in various environments. This role involves working outdoors and in greenhouses, ensuring optimal growth conditions for a variety of plants.

Duties

• Manage and oversee two local sites' growth of plants, ensuring they receive proper care and attention.
• Utilize irrigation systems effectively to maintain appropriate moisture levels.
• Monitor plant health and identify any issues related to pests or diseases.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, and harvesting.
• Operate hand tools and machinery as needed for planting and maintenance activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of greenhouse facilities and outdoor work areas.
• Conduct basic math calculations for inventory management and plant care schedules.
• Assist in landscaping projects as required, applying knowledge of plant identification and horticultural practices.

Qualifications

• Must be Spanish/English bilingual.
• Proven experience in horticulture or farming is required.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and techniques for efficient water management.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to operate equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary for planting and maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of plant identification to ensure proper care and handling of various species.
• Experience with gardening practices is a plus.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
