Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior Indirect Tax Accountant to join their team! This position is located in Bellevue, Washington.

Duties:

• Prepare and file indirect tax returns, including sales and use tax, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and deadlines
• Support sales and use tax audits by gathering documentation, responding to inquiries, and assisting with defense strategies
• Manage and maintain the indirect tax calendar to ensure timely submission of all tax filings and payments
• Conduct research on indirect tax issues and prepare clear, well-documented memos summarizing findings and recommendations
• Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries related to indirect tax general ledger accounts
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance tax compliance and reporting efficiency
• Provide support on various ad hoc tax projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years tax or accounting experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a large corporate tax department
• CPA preferred
• Proficient in Excel, Word and online research software
• Experience with Avalara is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented, analytical and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

The approximate pay range for this position is between $33.00 and $48.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
