About the Client:

Metric Search is now working with an air compressor and vacuum pump

manufacturer on an exciting new assignment. Our client manufactures a world-leading product and aims to provide their customers with unrivalled service levels. They have expressive values and a clear vision to provide its customers with the best solutions on the market.

Service Manager:

The Service Manager is in charge of managing all service personnel, including field technicians, admin, and coordinators. It’s an exciting opportunity to lead the growth of an expanding branch whilst leaving a footprint on the culture and performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Effectively manage the team to achieve optimum performance and efficiency
• Evaluate current processes and performance
• Implement necessary changes to improve the service department
• Hire and grow a team of field and shop technicians
• Be an integral part of leading growth at an expanding growth

Qualifications:

• 5 years’ experience in service management
• Strong leader who has managed teams
• Background as a service technician
• Experience with compressors, pumps or other rotating equipment (preferred)
• Experience with industrial maintenance and repair services (essential)
• A 4 year degree in engineering and/or business administration (preferred)

Skills/Personal Qualifications:

• Based in the Fredericksburg area
• Self-starting attitude
• An excellent communicator with management experience
• A critical thinker who requires little guidance to solve problems
• High energy, self-driven person with an entrepreneurial outlook to business
