Job Title: Social Media Specialist

Location: The Barnes Firm 500 Pearl Street #700, Buffalo NY 14202

Reports to: Digital Marketing Manager

Overview

The Barnes Firm is seeking a versatile and experienced Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. This role involves creating compelling visual and digital content from concept through to deployment to enhance our brand presence and engage our audience.

This position is 100% on site in Buffalo, NY. There will be a small amount of travel visiting the firm’s offices.

The ideal candidate is a creative professional with expertise in graphic design, video, and social media management, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee high-impact social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Strategize, execute, and optimize paid and organic social media campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • Produce engaging, on-brand static and video content that resonates with our audience.
  • Photography and videography, as well as post-production and editing.
  • Copywriting and creation of strong written content and captioning.
  • Track campaign performance, analyze metrics, and report results with recommendations and improvements.
  • Monitor industry trends, platform updates, and emerging opportunities to keep strategy relevant.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to align social media initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media management, including paid social advertising.
  • Experience creating short-form and long-form video content.
  • Expertise in Facebook Business Manager and other social media management platforms.
  • Experience using AI and other supplemental resources.
  • 3-5 years of experience in copywriting, graphic design, video editing, and other creative skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with proven ability to achieve successful results.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Preferred experience in B2C marketing
  • Proficiency in multimedia software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects), video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro), and audio production software (Audacity, Pro Tools).
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $55k - $80k/year based on experience
