Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ultrasound Technologist (Registered) for a short-term 8-week assignment in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of professional experience and be confident performing a variety of ultrasound exams independently while supporting radiologists and clinical teams.
Responsibilities
Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations according to departmental protocols
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures accurately and efficiently
Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure safety protocols are followed
Capture and transfer images to PACS and physicians' workstations
Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and ensure exam rooms are prepared
Assist in onboarding and mentoring new ultrasound staff when necessary
Answer phones, assist with scheduling, and coordinate patient transportation as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Requirements
ARDMS Registered (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, anatomy, and safety protocols
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic imaging systems (PACS)
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Must be able to work on-site in New York, NY 10011
Preferred Skills
Experience mentoring or training junior staff
Familiarity with EMR systems
Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced clinical environment
