Summer Internship Program at Distinct Engineering Solutions, Inc.

Distinct Engineering Solutions, Inc. is excited to welcome motivated and talented interns to our team this summer! This immersive internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience across various departments — including Civil Engineering , Accounting , Human Resources , and Executive Support .

Interns may choose to rotate across departments or specialize based on their background, interests, and our company’s needs.

Internship Tracks & Responsibilities:

Engineering Services / Civil Engineering

• Assist with technical drawings, calculations, and documentation
• Conduct research on engineering standards, materials, and construction methods
• Should write proposals, technical reports, and presentations
• Help with data collection, analysis, and visualization
• Gain hands-on experience with industry software tools

Accounting

• Assist with bookkeeping and financial record maintenance
• Support accounts payable/receivable processes
• Help prepare budgets and perform financial analysis
• Participate in invoice processing and expense tracking
• Learn about project costing and financial reporting in a consulting setting

Human Resources

• Support recruitment and onboarding processes
• Assist with employee engagement and culture initiatives
• Help maintain personnel records and compliance documentation
• Coordinate training sessions and internal wellness programs

Executive Support / Chief of Staff Office

• Provide administrative and operational support to the executive team
• Assist with meeting prep, note-taking, and action follow-ups
• Coordinate internal/external communications and logistics
• Support strategic projects and gather insights for executive decisions

What We’re Looking For:

• Students currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, HR, Business, or a related field
• Strong academic record and relevant coursework
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and a problem-solver
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Willingness to learn new tools; engineering interns should have civil engineering coursework or project experience
