Job Description

Goodall Brazier is representing a leading general contractor in the San Francisco Bay Area that is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team. This position is a key site leadership role, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on healthcare construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day site operations for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, medical centers, and specialty clinics.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site staff to maintain efficient project progress.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and healthcare-specific regulations (e.g., infection control, ICRA).
• Work closely with Project Managers to align field execution with project budgets and schedules.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve issues, and implement corrective measures to minimize disruption.
• Maintain thorough daily reports and site documentation.
• Act as the primary on-site representative for clients, consultants, and trade partners.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of construction industry experience, including at least 5 years as a Superintendent.
• Proven expertise in healthcare construction (hospitals, clinics, or similar environments).
• Strong working knowledge of OSHPD/HCAI requirements (California healthcare construction standards).
• Additional experience in multifamily and commercial construction is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
• OSHA certification required; healthcare-specific safety training preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $120,000 – $150,000, depending on experience.
