Hospital system looking for a System Nurse Director Clinical Documentation!

This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY or IN. MUST live in KY and IN mostly remote work, occasional trips to 9 facilities. M-F day shift position. Oversee 2 Managers, 2 Education Auditors and 1 Data Analyst. Solventum and EPIC software.

Directs and maintains overall responsibility for Clinical Documentation Integrity operations and across the entities of the Healthcare System ensuring that departmental, facility and system goals and objectives are met. Directs the development, implementation, and maintenance of standardized policies, procedures, and strategies including workflow for CDI functions. Identifies and implements best practices to promote and continuously improve customer service, efficiency, compliance, and data integrity in a manner consistent with the operational needs of the local markets. Effectively oversees, directs, and controls the functions and activities of the CDI program within the operational and financial parameters as set forth by the BHS and hospital policies and procedures,

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, BSN required, Masters preferred.
• 5+ years acute health care nursing including 3 years of clinical documentation integrity experience.
• CDI important. Knowledge of ICD10-CM coding principles and procedures, DRG assignment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, data entry and data retrieval systems, Encoder, and internet.
• Valid Kentucky or Indiana Licensure as a Registered Nurse, CCDS and/or CDIP, member of ACDIS or AHIMA.
• Certification preferred.
