Title : Tooling Technician IV

Location : Peachtree City, GA

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Shift : 1st Shift | Monday-Friday

Pay : Up to $42-43/hr

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Tooling Technician for a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing company that loves to promote from within!

Job Duties :

• Manage mould preventive maintenance (PM) schedule and track On-Time Completion %
• Audit and track spare parts inventory, ordering as needed
• Disassemble, reassemble, and PM Hot Runner, valve gate, and mould systems
• Diagnose and repair heating issues in Hot Runner systems
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams for Hot Runner systems
• Identify and resolve mould defects and determine if defects are process-related
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) documentation
• Troubleshoot and repair valve gate, hot runner, and controller issues
• Work with vendors on mould refurbishments, upgrades, and repairs
• Determine process parameters for new or modified moulds
• Identify and understand injection moulding machine and part components

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED
• 5-10+ years of injection tooling experience
• Strong understanding of technical documents and quality control procedures
• Basic computer skills and good organizational abilities
• Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and apply mathematical concepts
