Job Description

About Us

ThermoWorks is the leader in unique and professional temperature tools. Our applied technology and temperature expertise are second to none. We believe temperature affects virtually every aspect of life. Therefore, great thermometers make life better.

Our ambition is huge – challenging conventional channel strategies to sell directly to consumers and businesses since 1997. We’re not another cheap houseware brand on the shelves of big box stores or online retailers. We aim to be different and innovative to provide an uncommonly memorable experience.

Our video production is no different. As competitors get better and faster at trying to copy us, we look for new ways to communicate our product stories in a way that stands out and resonates with our customers.

About the Role

The Videographer is responsible for the entire process including pre and post production, shooting, editing, and lighting. Video projects will include new product launches, product ads, cooking demonstrations, care and use how-to’s, and social media reels.

Qualified candidates must submit a demo reel/portfolio with their application.

**This position will work onsite 5 days/week**

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a highly organized post-production workflow
  • Organize and log raw footage
  • Edit and balance audio
  • Select royalty-free music
  • Ensure color grading and color correction are done according to established guidelines
  • Subcontract and incorporate animations or graphics to elevate projects
  • Edit sequences into an initial cut
  • Render, export, and package final videos for a variety of platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Maintain, log and organize footage and finished video archive
  • Shoot video and occasionally assist with photography. Proficiency with video and photography equipment is required
  • Manage a variety of overlapping projects simultaneously
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in film, digital media, marketing, design or related field preferred
  • 5+ years minimum experience editing commercial projects
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro preferred, Photoshop, Audition)
  • Proficiency with After Effects and Lightroom preferred
  • Solid understanding of file formats, codecs, and best exporting practices
  • Design and photography experience a plus
  • Must be a great listener and excellent communicator with the ability to receive feedback from the Marketing team and leadership team and incorporate edits as needed
  • Highly organized and self-motivated to handle multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines
