Pottsville Quarry and Asphalt is searching for a Water Truck Driver to join their team! The driver operates water truck to transport and dump water for dust suppression and aids in other responsibilities to support Quarry production. The ideal candidate is safety focused, pays attention to detail, and excels at teamwork. A CDL license is not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

• Performs all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Performs pre and post trip of truck every day and fills out daily inspection sheets
• Drives safely and efficiently to transport material and achieve production goals
• Does regular inspection of roadways to determine dust suppression needs
• Performs routine maintenance on truck such as lubrication and cleaning
• Cleans around the plant and supports plant cleaning efforts.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• At least 3 years experience 
• Driver’s license
• Clean Driving record
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)  

  Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• One year of experience operating heavy equipment with a strong preference for Water or Haul Truck operation
• Experience in a quarry, open pit mine, heavy civil/road construction, or other heavy industry
• CDL A or B
• MSHA and/or other applicable safety certifications and training

• Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms
• Frequently talk or hear
• Occasionally stand, walk, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include distance, peripheral, and depth perception  

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
• Regularly exposed to vibration
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• Noise level is usually loud
