Meta Reality Labs - Hardware System Engineer

Meta is looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA! This position will be responsible for defining electrical characterization/validation test methodologies

for AR Smart Glasses prototype specifically within the sensors, audio, and/or camera subsystems.

Responsibilities:

• Define electrical characterization/validation methodologies for sensors, audio, camera subsystems by working with domain leads and partners
• Track and execute detailed test plans for the PCB, modules, subsystems characterization to meet key deadlines and priority goals. Characterization coverage includes low speed signal interface (I2C, I2S, SPI, PDM...etc), I/O signals, high speed differential interface (MIPI, USB ...etc), sensors, microphones, cameras
• Develop automated test setups with SW scripting to implement module characterization/validation
• Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of results.
• Support system bring up and debug activities
• Clearly communicate test plans and results

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Electrical System testing for consumer electronics
• Experience with one of the subsystems - sensors, audio, camera
• Experience executing electrical testing on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, signal generator, and temp chamber.
• Understanding of board schematics and board layout.
• Ability to find proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT.
• Knowledge of Python for data processing and automation.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Self-motivated and team player

Nice to have (Not required):

• Consumer hardware device experience
• Power consumption and power analysis
• Master's in electrical engineering or computer science
